My name is Tarik and I've used HostGator as my web hosting for over a few months. I got a plan for pretty cheap and for that price I liked their services, mainly due to their uptime and 24/7 support. I highly recommend this company.

I am using HostGator for more then 6 Months now after horrible service from Free hosting service providers and I must say it's the best decision for me to move to Paid hosting. HostGator gives me more freedom for my blog and in these 7-8 months I had no problems with them as well as my site always up so it is good for me and my readers. I had some problems with Wordpress installation and their support was excellent during whole problem. I must say that HostGator give importance to their customers and you will get really high quality technical support from them. Price is also excellent for features and service they provide. If you go for long duration and then you will find really great deals.

My opinion about hostgator: they are number 1 in shared hosting. That includes: uptime, features, price, and an important one, 24/7 online support (live chat included).

My honest review is that People should really avoid this host if you want to run any kind of web applications like Wordpress, Pligg etc. This host has quite a good uptime and good Customer Support but its main problem is it's features and it's Vdeck control Panel. Even though it provides a lot of advertising credits and a free domain and the price is also cheap, it is really not worth to buy a hosting with this host if you want to use any web application, a business website would do quite good in this host. I say again this Webhost is only good if you are going to host a company or a business website.

I have been a HostGator customer for the past 2 and half years now. Time seems to fly but may be this is due to the great service they have provided to me till now. I have never received a downtime ( I repeat..never..at least not when I was awake even while traveling in different time zones). Their customer support is super-friendly. It feels like you have a care-taker out there whenever your websites need some care. What fascinated me most is the price I pay for their hosting. It is just $9.95 per month. That is nothing in comparison to the service that I receive. I have used three other reputable companies for hosting my sites but none of them have impressed me like hostgator has. I recommend this company to anyone and everyone. Now, a major plus, they have includes VPS and reseller services too. I don't think I am ever going to switch my hosting. 10/10 to hostgator.

Before I was with JustHost, I was quite an inexperienced webmaster, with only two past hosts (HostGator, and GoDaddy), neither meeting my standards, I decided to venture off. JustHost was the best I've found.
The support was something I saw immediately good. As with any host, I had a few teething problems and needed some help getting used to my account. Waiting no more than two minutes each time on the Live Chat, and you've got a real person talking to you, with loads of experience... How great!
I mainly use my hosting there as a test bed, but do also run some sites there which JustHost suites perfectly for my needs.
Sure JustHost has it's downsides, it's classed as an "overseller" (where as I think that's not true, JustHost is great), registering a domain with them costs £10/$15, and you can't host certain types of domains with them (.cc for example).
My overall verdict is if you want a great general host, tonnes of space, for only £50/$75 every two years, then JustHost is what you want!
Also, I'm soon to try out JustHost Reseller. I'll be sure to give my verdict on that as well when I get it.

I have been experiencing problems with cpu throttling lately. Even though my site does not receive many visitors. I assume this is caused by another wordpress site i have hosted at the same shared account. I think HM could be better, but for the cheap price you can't expect to get it much more than this.

We purchased two years of service from this company; however, they failed to provide us with the username and password that would allow us to access the account. After 11 months of chasing them someone from their billing department FINALLY sent us the access information.
When we asked that they provide us the 24 months of service we paid for, they refused and claimed that their negligence was somehow our fault.
I wouldn't trust these people to host a Tupperware party.

Even without a special deal (we're paying the 5.95 a month) how do you beat such a price which includes knowledgeable support either in a chat room (very quick) or by phone (still pretty quick as far as I'm concerned) AND shell access AND php/mysql AND unlimited email addresses with a choice of IMAP or POP (or both at the same time if you'd rather)....
We're very happy with the service. As we grow our other websites, we'll most likely be moving them from an in house server to hostmonster as well

Don't even want to go into it. Really bad tech support. A week of going in circles with support and three attempts to cancel. All I can say is stay away.

This is Trey Gardner, CEO of Green Geeks.
I have been in the web hosting business for over 10 years. Unfortunately this reseller has decided to leave our service because of a program called AW Stats. Anyone who has used this program before knows that it is a severely limited web site statistics program that has come with the cPanel control panel for as long as I can remember.
In addition we attempted to keep Chris Kauminiski as a reseller client and we did try several attempts to keep his business when he had requested a refund. Our attempts to keep him as a client stemmed from the fact that we knew he and his clients would be better served if he stayed and used a better stats program. In searching through our tickets and communication with Chris the stats program issue seemed to have been the only complaint by him about our service. Ultimately he decided to go elsewhere and he was refunded.
Let me first say that AW Stats is terrible. It was a terrible program 8 years ago when I would try to use it to analyze the web site traffic of the web hosting company I worked and it has seen virtually no improvements since then. In addition it can take 24 hours for the stats to generate through AW Stats which was communicated to this former client and which is why he had a complaint about the program.
It was this 3rd party program which has issues with statistical updates as the cause for Mr Kauminski’s dissatisfaction.
We also advised Chris as we do with all our clients to use a far superior web site statistics program called Google Analytics. This is by far the best web site statistics program I have ever used and I have been tracking the statistics of web sites since I got into the internet in the 1990's. I have been using analytics now for over 3 years with great satisfaction, this program is free and is provided by Google.
If you were to compare AW Stats to Google Analytics, AW Stats would be the 3 day old cup of Foldger's instant brewed coffee made with unsanitary tap water compared to Analytics which would be the top of the line, mega grande espresso delight you would find at your favorite coffee house.
Unfortunately we could not convince Chris to switch to this far better program. We were sad to see him go and we do wish him well but we do hope that he switches to Analytics instead of AW Stats at some point as that should help alleviate some of his frustration.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Please if you are looking at a good stats program to monitor your web site traffic, please take some time to look at alternatives to find the best program for you. Again I recommend Google’s Analytics which is free.

This host is great for small niche sites, not only because of the price, but also because it has some nice little features. Things like unlimited databases and the like for only $1.99 is hard to believe. I decided to test this host 8 months ago, as they have a 30 day money back, and I'm very happy with them.

I use the "Baby" HostGator account for my SEO niche sites. It was an amazing investment and I was glad to finally get off of Blogger and make the move to WordPress. The "Baby" account allows me to host as many websites as I want as long as I don't exceed my bandwidth and space for $10 a month.
HostGator has one-click install services for things such as WordPress and Drupal. This made the switch very easy and pretty stressfree.
I have experienced no downtime as of yet. The server speed is wonderful.
